Frequently asked questions about weddings:


How many people can Hirvilampi cater for? Around 180 people.

What is the hire charge?  The price includes table cloths, cleaning, decorative items, arranging etc.  Hire time is until 1 am.

Menus?  Food is provided by our catering service.  At the moment we have 4 suggested menus which can be modified by the customer. Children under 12 are half price, under 3s free.  Table service is also available.

Wedding cake?  The wedding cake is ceremoniously brought out, and the bride and groom then cut a slice from either their own cake or the following one.

Alcoholic beverages?  Customers can bring their own alcoholic drinks, and we can supply glasses and waiter service (at extra cost).  We recommend that the first drink be served after the meal.

Decorations?  Customers can come in to decorate the space for their event on the day before, provided we have no events taking place.  Times must always be agreed in advance. Customers provide their own flowers, serviettes, inside and outside candles, disposable items and other personal decorative items.  We can provide some items for decoration, such as vases and holders for tealight candles.  Ask us for more details.

Band?  We can arrange music for your event.  A band could, for example, play their first set after the meal and before coffee.

Course of events?  The schedule for your event is agreed upon and finalised in a meeting 3-4 weeks before the event.  We recommend that the best man, bridesmaids or whoever is involved in organising the event is present at this meeting!

Evening snack / meal?  An extra meal or snacks can be arranged in the evening, for example salads, pies, bread rolls, sausages or warm food.

Taking away personal belongings?  A suitable time will be agreed beforehand for customers to take away personal belongings after the event.
